Since Walter Smith's return in 2007 Rangers have reformed as a side with a new motivation and passion for the game. in 2008 they had a very successful run in Europe and brought back to Ibrox the Scottish Cup and League Cup.

The 2008/2009 season will see Rangers battling it out for the SPL title which they haven't been honoured with since 2005. As ever their main contenders will be in the form of Celtic who have taken the title of Scottish champions for the last 3 years.
